 Oregon Indian Education Association
The OIEA believes that integrating Native culture and knowledge into public education and educational services will result in enhanced student outcomes for Native students. Additionally, the OIEA emphasizes that teaching Native histories and contemporary issues at every level of public education benefits all students, as they are encouraged to engage with the region in which they live, cultivate civic engagement practices, and learn to be responsible global citizens.
The conference will include a wide variety of oral presentation sessions, panel presentations, a film festival, luncheons and more. For more information, visit the conference website. Register here before March 31 to receive an early-bird discount. Feel free to forward this email and post the attached flyer to spread the word about this opportunity.
